Looks like this could be a Big Meeting on many issues ,i hope the Board and people who are able to make this meeting are able to have open minds and work for the people of the WTA .And not on there own personal agendas . Keep us all informed any way the few that even come here any more ,it seems less and less as we move on .Have a happy day and play good in the sand box to …
JDHOGJust saw on Facebook that Dan Horkan resigned from the BOD’s – AGAIN at the meeting this past Saturday. Can’t wait to read these minutes once they are posted.
I have heard others mention about things on facebook. Just wondering where on facebook. Dan’s, Dewey’s, The WTA’s where?
I’m sorry to see this happen. I would like to thank them for there time they spent serving the WTA.

PeteRustadIt’s a bad day hearing of Dewey, Dan, Jim and Josh resignation from the board. You all can hold your heads high and be proud of your successes,when the future looked hopeless,you all stepped up and stopped the bleeding. With your guidance and teamwork the burning through money we didn’t have stopped, now their is money to pay bills, build a building ect. The WTA,has lost 4 great board members. I’ll never forget, thank you my friends.
Truthfully that’s what started the bleeding! We started spending money we thought we had and we didn’thave it! Wake up! The best we can hope for is to hang on to what we got and have place to hold a state shoot for years to come. Sometimes we have to settle for what we can afford, not what we want!

The bleeding is that everyone has their own agenda and no one is willing to compromise. Lots of ideas for the board, but very few who want to help. It’s real easy to sit at the computer and criticize and take no action. For anyone that has ran the numbers it is impossible to throw enough targets in a year to pay for the place and make improvements. We need people to help fundraise whether some like it or not…remember the building that is going up would still be a wish without those that took charge and did the fundraising!!!
Well put Tate. I don’t think anyone thought that the gun club could support the whole Homegrounds. That is why the campgrounds were added. With the research that was done and the business plan that was done by a professional was written it was supposed to be the main income. It still should be and could be.
Don, I hate to inform you that business plan from the professionals have sailed. It cost us over 1.2 million dollars to build the campground, that was to build only one section of the campground which I believe is only 104 campsites. The professional business plan you keep bringing up was based on 208 campsites. So I guess since the professional business plan is so right we need to go in debt and build another 1.2 million dollars to double our approximate gross current income of $21,000.00, after taxes, electric ect maybe $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 profit leftover. Any person can figure the math $10,000.00 profit divided into $1,200,000.00 facility cost equals 120 years to break even. Still think that business plan was so fantastic. I don’t think any business person that has made it in the real world would say this is a great professional plan to follow, I know I wouldn’t. I’m done discussing this its the same song and dance we all heard when the plans unveiled to this day.
