Hugh Ellory Hosking, age 79 of Madison died on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

May 23, 2016 at 7:13 am #1583Hugh Hosking, age 79, of Madison, died on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on Jan. 29, 1937, to Joy (Peterson) Hosking.</p>
>He grew up in Hollandale, where he attended grade school and graduated from high school. Hugh attended the UW-Platteville for two years, and then served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1961. After leaving service he completed two more years of college in Platteville and graduated. He was married in 1967 to Carolyn Coldwell. Hugh taught high school science in Benton for two years, and then worked for Ohio Medical where he was a methods and planning engineer for 35 years. Hugh loved trap shooting, fishing and skiing, where he met his wife skiing. He loved spending time with his family.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hosking of Madison; a son, Alex (Michelle) Hosking of Barcelona, Spain. He was preceded in death by his mother.
A visitation will be held on Monday afternoon, May 23, 2016, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at NEW HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Hollandale. A celebration of life service will be held following at 2 p.m. on Monday at the church. The Rev Michelle Elfers will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the Long Valley Cemetery.</p>

May 23, 2016 at 8:40 pm #1604I met Hugh many years prior to myself shootinng trap. Hugh was with Alex his son racing radio control cars. It was always nice to see Hugh and Carolyn at the shoots. Hugh was the best. Will miss you my friend. May you R.I.P. Our prayers with Carolyn and Alex.
