I posted a pic on the WTA Facebook page last weekend when we were up there.
Amy
Here you go. I also posted it under Shoot Results.

Tim –
I will get it posted as soon as I have it!!Amy
No, not yet. I know Dick is still working on getting them done and getting the payout information to Jim so that he can send the checks.
Thanks,
AmyA few answers to your questions after the meeting Saturday.
Bar Money from State Shoot: Glen Hammerly gave us a breakdown for the bar. The gross was $3337. Expenses were $734 to S&S Distributing, $603 to General Beer, Coke $697 and unbrellas were $199. After expenses was $1104.One porta potty will remain on grounds for the contractors that will be there working on the building this fall.
Thanks,
AmyA huge thanks to the Dick and Arlene Otto for the numerous hours they spent in the hoop building this weekend. I am pretty sure they were still working on scores until about 9pm last night. Don, Jerry, Dwight and the Nekoosa kids worked until almost dark emptying the traps for the season and cleaning up the grounds.
Thanks to Rick Tesker and Tate for setting great targets; although it was very windy!
Thanks to everyone else that I didn’t mention. It takes a lot of help and coordination to run these shoots.
Thanks to those that donated the added money and the silver coins donated by Fritz.
I will get the scores posted as soon as I get them so that everyone can look at them.Dan –
As far as I know, no, I don’t believe we will begin squadding or classifying until Saturday morning. Thanks,
AmyI will try to answer the questions that you feel no one has responded to. Most of the information I am going to give you was what was in the minutes.
DON:
Porta Potties – Jim gave us the numbers at the meeting. Fritz will talk to the bunker shooters to see if they are willing to pay some of the cost. I can’t remember, but I don’t think we had a porta potty there last year, so this is new. Not sure who he is, but I assume you mean Bruce Nelson. “HE” isn’t the only one using the facility. He is the one that coordinates the bunker shooters. Last year the bunker shooters shot almost every Saturday and Sunday from Super Bowl Sunday on. They plowed their own way in to the traps. The WTA did not plow. What were the profits? I don’t know, but sometimes we need to remember we are the closest bunker for these kids to practice on and if they want to practice in the middle of winter, we should let them.Where in the minutes do you want clarification on first and last name. I post the full name in the attendance and typically use first names throughout. If there is more than one person with the same first name, I try to use the last initial. Typically there is not more than one person with the same name at the meetings.
Correct, Kevin Doerring stated in his round table that next year we need to purchase trophies from Shamrock for the state shoot. We did not purchase anything from them in 2017.
Chops asked how the bar did at the state shoot. No one knew this answer as Glen Hammerly took care of all of this. I simply posted the conversation; however, there was no further discussion so what I wrote is what was discussed.
Nicknames – I assume you mean Chops. Sure that may be his nickname but everyone knows him as this. As for the comment about missing money, I am not sure what this is in reference to. I did not note anywhere in the minutes that there was money missing.
Brad – As for your questions about the by-law changes from your August 4th post, I do not have all the answers for that. The by-law changes were addressed at multiple meetings and then at the annual meeting. I did not note all the changes in the minutes as the majority of them were minimal from what I recall.
Hope this helps answer some questions that were being asked.
Thanks,
AmyFirst of all, if you all remember, we do not currently have a Secretary, so just be thankful I have once again volunteered to type the minutes, send them out for review, get them approved and posted to this website so you all can bitch about something. Feel free to come to the next meeting and take the minutes.
The full names of people in attendance are listed at the beginning of the minutes. I am not going to type full names all the way through. As for nicknames, I assume you mean Chops, and I have not the slightest idea how to spell his real and everyone knows him as Chops. Just like the President we call Dewey, not Jerry.
There was no one at the meeting that knew how the bar sales were. Therefore the minutes do not include any information other than Chops bringing up. Maybe I should have just left it out since there was no answer, one less thing for you all to complain about.
If you all have questions, have any of you contacted your Zone Director for answers? I’m guessing not, let’s just post it on the form so everyone can fight about it.
This is getting really OLD. All this does is drive the current volunteers right out the door. Apparently some of you have all the answers so why don’t you come to the next meeting and you can be appointed to the BOD when everyone else has had enough. I’m not even a Director and I surely have donated hundreds of hours to the WTA and the Homegrounds RV Park this summer. I receive 30 to 50 calls a week for the Homegrounds. Does someone else want to do this too?
Amy Jenkins
Volunteer ONLY, Not the Secretary, NOT a DirectorI believe it was some sort of raffle? Not sure, but I saw it posted on the electronic scoreboard but it went so fast that I didn’t even know what it was…..but I saw our WTA Homegrounds and over $2000. YEAH!!!!!
Brad –
Thanks for the kind words. Not gonna lie…..it was a ton of work. I arrived to Homegrounds at 1pm on Wednesday and went home about 3pm Sunday. So, the compliment is much appreciated. Clay Target League two weeks prior to that had about 800 kids and about two or three times as many spectators and that went very smoothly as well. I have heard very good feedback from shooters and families as well.
Thanks to everyone that was able to help out with these two big youth events!!!On to the State Shoot!!!!!!!!!!
Brad –
I will ask the Treasurer to write something up so I can post it here. Stay tuned.
Brad –
What are you waiting for an answer on?
Amy
I am the Shoot Coordinator. When you send me data, I assume you are sending it to me for the WTA. If you want results posted, you need to tell me what you want posted on this site. Please don’t assume that I know what you want posted. The clubs that wants results posted send me a Results page for posting to the website.
Let me know if questions.
Thanks,
Amy
I am not a Director, however, everyone knows that I am very involved in this organization. I update the website as often as I can. But, on the flip side, I am extremely busy and therefore don’t always have the time to spend on here, nor spend time reading about how mad people are for something the BOD did or didn’t do. It gets old. There are days that I get 35 to 40 calls for camping reservations or just information calls about our facility. I respond to every single one of them in a timely manner. I spent 5 days at Homegrounds last weekend for the High School Clay Target League shoot.
As for the comment about talking face to face, sometimes that goes a long way and takes away the negative comments on here. Some things are just meant to handle over the phone.
As for the forum, the BOD has changed a lot since the forum was brought back, so I’m not sure saying the current BODs was the one that wanted it still stands.
