Thanks JD, That is what needs to be done. If we want a successful Fall Classic we have to advertise the hell out of it.

Pete you are right about dates. Since Gateway is not a registered shoot it did not show up on the calendar and I over looked that one. But the date it is on now will effect more than one club. Also if we put the date into October we could run into some cold or cold rainy weather. All I was trying to do was set a date that would not interfere with other registered shoots not the non registered shoots. So now is decision time. Who do you bump up against.

New update. I checked with Amy our shoot coordinator and she had no other shoots on the Sept. 16-17-18. We also talked about the May shoot for the WTA and the July 4th week-end shoot. Theese date have other shoots listed with no other open dates in those months. So here is were I am going with this. I know we should not compete but the May and July are listed as a Registered shoot. Nothing special just a multi day shoot. While the Sept shoot is being billed as “The Fall Classic”. This is something special and should be protected and kept on the same time frame each year like the State Shoot. This way we can build it to some major shoot for the country in the fall of the year something like the big fall handicap in Missouri.

John the Gateway shoot is not on the calendar or the ATA web site I guess we should check with the WTA shoot coordinator to see. But on another note if we list now and make it exclusive there won’t be a problem

Don The WTA did say it would not compete against other clubs. You have to remember that the WTA is the support for the local clubs and therefore we should not compete. The MI fall handicap starts the 24th of Sept to Oct. 2nd. For the WTA to establish a fall shoot we should select a date and keep it on that schedule. Also we could make it exclusive in the state as to no other club could have a shoot on those dates. All we have to do is tell our shoot coordinator.

Good point Don on the screen changing but it is hard to tell as the home page still is there.

I changed my internet to Google Chrome and I have no problem with viewing the calendar. Thanks for the tip.

I just spoke with Bill and they plan on making a change. I did suggest the moving one week to the 16-17-18. They may even go back to the October date as last year. To summit up they are working on it.

The WTA needs to move this one week to Sept. 16-17-18 then there will not conflict with other clubs and it can be kept exclusive.

We as members of the WTA need to remember KEEP IT CIVIL.

When the new Homegrounds were built it was agreed to then that the WTA WOULD not compete with other Wisconsin clubs on shoot dates. With that being said I don’t think it is right to have it then. I know we need to throw targets to make it but the WTA is there to support the local clubs and not compete against them.
