Thanks for posting the trophy lists!
Tim
Only thing I’ve seen is the trophy reports on the shootscoreboard.com site and those don’t even have the HAA and HOA updated through the handicap championship. Hopefully we’ll see something soon with all trophy winners listed here.
Tim
SW Zone Champions:
Singles: Kraig Knudson with his 1st 200 straight.
Doubles: Dwight Fitzsimmons- 97
Handicap: Al Wendorf- 94
HAA: Ben Carlson 378 x 400
Full report has been sent to the webmaster here.
Thanks to all who came to our shoot. Hope to see you at Sauk again.
Tim
Shout out to Dan Haag for making the 27 today for the 1st time. Doing so in fine style by popping a 99 from the 26 1/2. Nice going, Dan!
On Friday during our marathon shoot, shooters are welcome to squad up and cashier for the Zone shoot. On Saturday, you will be able to sign up and cashier for Sunday’s events after the 2nd hundred of the Singles event begins. You are also more than welcome to call the club after noon and get your sqauds held, if you wish. 608-643-4844
Hope to see you at Sauk this weekend!
Tim
It has been pointed out to me that there is no notice of the potential Zone Meeting in our program. Oops!
If there is a Zone Meeting, it will be held between the 100’s on Saturday.
Tim
Hugh will also be missed at Sauk Prairie.

Open hours are Wed and Fri 12-5 and Sat & Sun 11-5. Please call to confirm that you are going to use the site you reserved as we have a waiting list for those who would like a hookup vs. primitive. Call the clubhouse if you are unsure or want to confirm that you are set for the Zone shoot.
Thx,
Tim
Don,
We have our annual Memorial 400 at Sauk on the 29th.

What could be more convenient than to pay the fee at your first shoot each year? By taking that possibility off site it would make it much more difficult for the WTA to handle the memberships since they are sent in with every shoot report plus you get your sticker on your plastic card right there. Why saddle the WTA with mailing out those stickers or make the host clubs have to deal with giving a shooter a sticker due to him or her having a receipt? It’s just another item the host club has to deal with in their report. Why make it more complicated?

Last year there were many shooters/squads who were asked and most complied, with moving to other open banks to complete events earlier. For many shooters, there are various reasons they shoot where they do. Camped nearby, other squad mates prefer to shoot there, squads shoot on field they donated is a big one. Moving a squad off “their field” may ruffle some feathers. I seem to recall reading in the minutes recently that the BOD decided (wisely) to only open a limited # of banks for presquad and only open more after all were filled. That seems to me to be a better move than a shuffle.
I have contacted my directors.

Thanks for that update, Dick. Sounds like fairly good news. Good to hear Denny has a good outlook. Prayers continue.
Tim
God Bless and be with Dennis and Ruth during these times. Prayers are with you two.

I seem to recall two years ago(or was it this past year?) at the Annual Meeting, Bill Simonar stated his objective of getting a “fall classic” started. He mentioned hoping he could do it between the Fall Handicap and Stockdale’s. Having it right before Missouri is a great date, IMO. Since the clubs who do have dates already scheduled and have had those dates for years, it only makes sense that the WTA move to the open date, the following weekend. Keep it there as most local clubs keep the same dates each year. Once the word gets out, all local clubs will know “that date is taken”.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong in my recollection of what Bill said.

And a third
