It was a very sad day when I received the news that my dear friend Dick had passed away. I have known Dick for over 59 years. We meet when we were 10 or ll. What a wonderful beginning and friendship it was together. We would hunt ducks, pheasants, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, deer, antelope. We would go to shoots and enter the hunt and cover. Then at 16 after saving every penny we could, we made the trek to Wyoming with another friend to hunt mule deer, antelope, what a wild fun trip for us 16 year olds. That trip made so memories and we continued to go their for years before and after we were both were drafted into the Army. I remember doing cattle round-up on horses to help the rancher. Dick meet Kathy and I knew he was hooked for life. The story of us continued throughout our lives. I moved to Madison, finally Lodi area, I was gone constantly traveling for my business as Dick was driving truck and raising his family. We would always stay in touch. We both got into registered shooting and made a point to get together and squad at least once a year. State shoot we always would spend time together. Dick I’m going to try and make those tracks one more time for the both of us in Wyoming in 2021. Prayer for Kathy and family.

AndyI meet Denny at a shoot, which I believe was early 2002, we just started a conversation, which became a norm when we would meet. Last year at the State Shoot when Denny and Ruth was leaving they stopped by my motor-home. As always a short conversation turned into a long one. Ruth you had a very good partner in life and I wish you and your family our condolences and prayers for your loss. Denny thank you for making trapshooting better. Denny R.I.P. Andy & Monica
Arlene and family, their is so many memories that so many of us shared with Dick and Arlene at the shoots. I had the pleasure of shooting with Dick over the years, truly he enjoyed the sport but most of all he enjoyed the friendships. Dick you will be missed greatly in our sport and the WTA has lost one of its great supporters. Arlene and Family our prayers,sympathy are with you during this sad time. RIP Dick

Thank you guys for everything you have done. It’s always a pleasure to see you both at the shoots and to be on a squad with you Dick.

Thanks Pete, Tate and all the other shooters and people that congratulated me. It was a very heart felt and humbling experience from all the shooters at the shoot and after the shoot. It has been a hard year, but it was probably the best year I ever had with all the trapshooting friends at the shoots. Scores are great but friendships still is what its all about
Everyone have a great rest of the trapshooting season and hope to see many of you at the Grand. Shoot Em up!
Don, I hate to inform you that business plan from the professionals have sailed. It cost us over 1.2 million dollars to build the campground, that was to build only one section of the campground which I believe is only 104 campsites. The professional business plan you keep bringing up was based on 208 campsites. So I guess since the professional business plan is so right we need to go in debt and build another 1.2 million dollars to double our approximate gross current income of $21,000.00, after taxes, electric ect maybe $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 profit leftover. Any person can figure the math $10,000.00 profit divided into $1,200,000.00 facility cost equals 120 years to break even. Still think that business plan was so fantastic. I don’t think any business person that has made it in the real world would say this is a great professional plan to follow, I know I wouldn’t. I’m done discussing this its the same song and dance we all heard when the plans unveiled to this day.
It’s a bad day hearing of Dewey, Dan, Jim and Josh resignation from the board. You all can hold your heads high and be proud of your successes,when the future looked hopeless,you all stepped up and stopped the bleeding. With your guidance and teamwork the burning through money we didn’t have stopped, now their is money to pay bills, build a building ect. The WTA,has lost 4 great board members. I’ll never forget, thank you my friends.
