I agree with you Ken, when you get into October you never know what kind of weather you will get. We got lucky last year. I like Sept 16,17,18 or the following weekend, 23,24,25 but I see Janesville has a shoot on the 24th. Your right it’s decision time!

You are correct John that is generally when Gateway has their shoot. Although it is not a ATA/WTA shoot but a lot of shooters that would shoot the Homegrounds shoot also shoot Gateway, witch in turn means less shooter at both places. (what we are trying to avoid) As you all can see scheduling shoots is not as easy as just picking a date out of a hat!

Does this include the campsites behind the shooting line(vendor row) or is it 18 spots left in the actual campgrounds?

That’s what I am getting at Dick, four other clubs in the state have shoots the same weekend, don’t you think you would have more participation if you have it on the following weekend when there are not any other shoots scheduled? I know I would be upset if it was my club and had a shoot scheduled the same weekend for the past years and the WTA schedules what I consider a major event right on top of you. I’m just saying with the declining number of shooters these days we need to work with clubs when scheduling shoots to get the shooter numbers up. Another good reason why we should bring back the 50 mile rule.

I don’t know what to tell you JD as I am not very computer savvy. I do see that it is a Google calendar so you might have to down load something for it to work. maybe someone can chime in to help you out, sorry I couldn’t help you.

Hi JD, go up to the SHOOTS TAB and click on it, scroll down to calendar and you can use the arrows in the upper left corner to page through the months.

I just noticed that also, I don’t think that is a very good idea, especially when it steps on other registered shoot dates in the state. What is wrong with October?
