Dan I guess the minutes were wrong then.  That isn’t what the coach said?

Better get used to me being the WTA cop.  As a very active member I have every right and a duty to see that things get handled properly.

I know Jim thinks he should have a vote at meetings but if the treasurer and Sect. get to vote they would have to be elected like the rest of the BOD.  They cannot be appointed.  They have to report to the people that voted them in not to the person that appoints them and the could not be paid.  You would have to make a lot of changes to the by law that would have to be voted on by the general membership.

Personally I see no need for these two positions to have a vote.

Dewey this is just a point of order.  Dwight is not a voting member of the BOD and therefore cannot make or second a motion.

Does everyone know, and this includes the Nekoosa coach, that there is a video that was make by Adam and I believe it is on youtube.com for the purpose of training makers and loaders?  A lot of hours went into making this.  I hope it gets used.  Fritz knows more about it because he was one of the stars in it.

Question on the PA system.  If you only put 8 speakers on the trap line and you find that this isn’t enough can more be added later.  Personally I think you could get by with 12.  Just leave off the two end speakers.  And you may want to add or some how have some temporary speakers in the middle so when the shoot offs are being called and most people are near the center or where the shoot off table is it can be clearly heard.

Did anyone talk to Paul Becker to see if the raffle that you are talking about will interfere with his fund raiser on Friday night.  Why would you not.  Paul is and has been very helpful in raising funds in the past and I know he was planning on doing the same again this year.  Also last I heard he had this years fund raiser money ear marked for the PA system.  Not sure about this but you should talk to Paul.  Why tick him off too?

Another question, and I really don’t care either way, but why are you changing the date for your fall shoot yet again?

Thinking back to the March meeting Kevin mentioned about Presquad and only 2 banks should be opened up.  That is a must.  But not for all days.  Tuesday yes.  Wed open a couple more and Thur. a couple more and so on.  You can’t just open 2 towards the end of the week.  And also he is correct.  You do have a 3 year contract with Michelle.  I don’t remember if it was the first year plus 3 or 3 including the first year she did it which was 2014.

What was the discussion about the food vendors.  Having a good variety of vendors is a must.  One of the biggest complaints at WGC was that lack of variety.  One vendor just wouldn’t fill the needs of the shooters.

Food for thought when it comes to setting spending limits make a few limits.  One for individual directors, one for the BOD, and one that the BOD needs to go to the general membership.

So Dan and Amy.  I guess that Jerry is saying he didn’t say anything like you both said.   He needs to apologize to Jeff Mainland not to the public.  For what Jeff and the Kolar company have done for this organization they are owed that much.  This is not the way it should be handled by Dan making a statement.  I know he doesn’t have a computer but he should be making a phone call.  I know he has a phone.

Dan if you didn’t say anything to tick off the coach like I said what was he talking about in the minutes?  I guess that must have been the second side of the story.  So who was telling the truth?  It sure looks like someone is guilty.

Jim.  I was at the meeting when Theresa resigned.  Not sure if it was you or someone else sitting close to you that asked her if she would still be the head cashier and it sure looked like and sounded like she said yes.  When did she change her mind.  Or was it changed for her.

Amy.  Do you think Jerry K’s comment to Jeff Mainland weren’t out of line”?

If ” many people” like the new forum why is there only about 5 or 6 people the use it.

From what I have learned about the meeting it may have been only the BOD that thought it went well.

I understand the coach from the high school that supplies the trap help was there.   Why was he there Dan?  Was it because you were asked to contact him and address his concerns about the pay amount for this years State shoot?  He had asked for a raise and you went to them and told them that the WTA was cutting their pay by 30% and if they didn’t like it you had other organizations wanting the job.  And you told him that without having the approval of the BOD to tell them that and without having a back up plan for trap help.   Is that correct?  What would you have done if he told you to shove it?

Also at the meeting Jerry Kaszynski told Jeff Mainland of Kolar that the Kolar raffle would have went just as well if they had used a Browning.  Really?  You say that to a gentleman that just DONATED a $19,000 gun.  And you didn’t have to do anything.  You didn’t have to have tickets printed, didn’t have to sell any tickets or anything and a DIRECTOR has the nerve to say something that stupid.

The treasurer who tells a woman that is excellent at her job as the head cashier and knows everything that is needed  to get the cashiering done for the state shoot in a timely manner that she is not needed any longer.  He tells Theresa that she could work in the food tent.  His daughter is going to be the head cashier.   And after telling the BOD that his daughter will not be able to run the food stand that her school ran and shared the profit with the WTA because she got a different job or moved or something.   But now she can be the head cashier?  My thoughts are the head cashier and the treasurer should not be related.  I am not accusing anyone of anything but it just seems like good sense.

I also heard that the BOD decided to do something to tick of Paul Becker.  A man that has done a great job raising money for the WTA.

Are you trying to get ride of everyone that has done something good for the organization and have some knowledge about how to run the State shoot?  You are doing a good job.

These are a couple of things that I have heard about.   I wouldn’t call it a good meeting.   I wouldn’t call a meeting good when the harassment of other directors got to the point that you have people resigning.

You have one person with a good amount of experience running a shoot the size of the state shoot and one with a year under his belt.  The rest have no experience.  The State shoot doesn’t run itself.  There are a lot of things that need to get done before the shoot.  There are two shoots before the State shoot.

I wish you a lot of good luck.  You are going to need it.

When I get all the facts I will be back.

With this nice new forum we are getting less info than I had been putting on the blog.

Also Brad I was not asking about the minutes.  I totally understand how much time is needed to get them on the web site.  I under stand that the Sec has a life and it takes time to type things up and then send them to the BOD and then wait for them to NOT send her a response and then post them on here.   So I am not asking for the minutes.  From what I under stand there where some things said and done by a couple directors that if true were very stupid.

From some of the information I got tonight I am sure people will be asking a lot of questions.  If the information I got tonight is correct there are a lot of people that need to do a lot of explaining.

Meetings were always open and transparent.  As for members not showing up at meetings before it seemed they trusted the BOD more.  All the directors would answer any and all questions.  If I didn’t have a answer I would find the answer.

So who resigned?  This would be a good place to be transparent.

What did we get for the house?

In what way are you ” paying down the Summit loan” .  Using all of Rays investments?  Some of the investments?  What did Summit say you can do with Rays estate? Ray’s house is only worth a little over a hundred thousand dollars.  Won’t do much to lower the loan.

The concession stand was discussed at the meeting before last.  What has changed?  How much of a payment do you really think it would make?  Who is going to run it?

                    Who resigned?

Who wasn’t open and honest and about what?

We will be leaving for the warm south in a few days other wise we would come up and help.

And you are right about the 1400 or so members of the WTA .  They must be the busiest bunch of people around that you can’t get 25 – 30 people to help out THEIR organization.  That is pathetic.

Not sure there are many if any laws covering member owned gun club meeting agendas.  I believe the laws you are referring to cover government like towns and such meetings.

The agenda is usually posted about the day before the meeting.  And if it is a teleconference they usually aren’t posted at all.  And if they are the membership doesn’t know the pass word so you can’t join or even listen.
