Andy.  You were sitting one person away from me in I believe either Jan. or Feb or somewhere around there when they first voted to have John work on getting it out of Denny’s name so that isn’t 8 months.

Dan I just got out of the hospital today.  I hope you don’t go in to have your arm repaired from patting yourself on the back so often.   Don’t you think it was know that it could be used on any size building as long as it has classrooms.  And I know it was know that the money could be gotten back to use in some other building.  It was talked about before the hoop building went up.  It was know that the way it was set up that we could get most of the money back.  There was some that went to Van Ert and some that went to a block company that was spent already for block and some electrical work.  So I do believe you were wrong about getting all the money back.  The sixty or sixty-five thousand dollars won’t pay for the bathrooms needed or the heat and air-conditioning.

It seems the amount that you don’t know about what was going on is a very large amount.  Had you been to the meetings you would have known about some of these things.

I wish you well with your thinking about a smaller building.  I too think that the building that was designed was way out of line.  And trust me that building would not have been allowed to be started by the BOD at the time.

Last I heard they were working on it.  Because of getting it out of Denny’s name it takes time.  This is why everything should be in more than one name.  Things happen.

Tim.  I plan on coming but most likely won’t shoot the 400.  I’m getting to old to do that many targets in a day.  I think it was last year I rode with Ron Wahl and he had to drive because I was falling a sleep.  Even he said it was to many for him and he is 10 years younger than me.  But anyway hope to see you then.

I thought the purpose of bringing the forums back was to share information, make suggestions, ask questions, share ideas.  The BOD were supposed to be involves on this also.  Since the first few threads it seems they have lost interest.  I should say the one or two directors that made a effort have lost interest.  Why is it others can make suggestions, ask questions and so on but when I do I am told to talk to my directors.  I have.  I sent some idea’s that were to be brought up at the last meeting and yet I didn’t see anything in the minutes about him asking about the things I sent to him.

Mike I don’t think you are correct.  Those amounts are the prize money not class purses.  I know Dick likes to prorate things.  The class purse was $5 so the amounts don’t come out right.  It had to be prize money which was $3 per shooter.  This has always bothered me and I have brought this up several times.  If you buy trophies you don’t buy different prizes for different classes.  If you give out shell like in the fall shoot you don’t give out different amounts for different class if there are different amounts of shooters in each class.  Did Steve try less than Don?  Did he pay less?  So why should he get a lesser prize than someone in the other classes?  Just figure how many shooters and the amount per shooter then divide by the number of classes.  If you want to increase the money amounts reduce the number of classes to four in stead of five.  This shoot isn’t that big that you couldn’t have just four.

One other thought.  After looking at the shooters calendar ( thanks Carol) it looks like there isn’t a lot of shoots on Memorial day weekend.  That used to be a big weekend for shoots.  Not so much anymore.   Any thoughts?  Plus the chances of having good weather are better at the end of the month of May.  This is Wisconsin.  I know the weather was pretty nice this year but tow years ago there was still snow on the ground up there on the first of May.

After seeing how many shooters there were I take it back about holding a Fri. shoot.  It still leaves the problem of no trap help.

I was at the first shoot and maybe the second I can’t remember.  But I spent the whole day in the scorers chair with one potty break and no lunch.  When we (Melinda and I) looked for something to eat at the end of the day everything was gone.  So if anyone had a complaint coming it was us.  For the next month all I heard was bitches about the shooters having to wait because of no trap help.  Mostly from shooters that wouldn’t even consider helping out.  This is why I bring up the problem of no trap help.

Dominic.  The WTA has been around for over 100 years.  They have had a web site for about 15 years.

Have you been to a zone shoot or the State shoot.  It is really hard to believe that you have been to a reg. shoot without knowing that you had a state association.  You paid daily fee’s to that same association every time you shot.

Don’t know if he was there.

Do you remember if this was a 3 day shoot last year?  Just wondering why?  It seems like the Friday is a very slow day.  No help either.  Why not just have a 2 day?  The next shoot is a 4 day.  Really questioning the thinking on that one.

Oh and by the way.  I do email one of my directors.  The other doesn’t have email and I really hate talking to him for many reasons.  (Personal) And you can ask most directors I do send out emails to the BOD.  Rarely more than one person replies.  Most of the time none.

What happened to Brian’s knee.  Did it happen at the shoot?

Does anyone know if the email address list is available to the State Associations?  The WTA has been talking about making a list and this might be a good place to start.

A big time thank you to ALL that helped.  It is just a shame that it is always the same few that do all the volunteering.

Did you hear how the $3 per entry is split or paid out?  How about classification?  Classes and or yardage groups.

Unbelievable.  When Glenn called me last night he told me how much they got done I couldn’t believe it.  It looks beautiful.   Well done guys.

I asked this question before and got no answer.  I really don’t care when it is as I may or may not attend the shoot but with all the negative feed back the board got about changing the date of the fall shoot no one has said why the date was changed yet once more.

I know it h as been reversed but John posted that the BOD decided at the last meeting to do the shuffle.  My question is if after reading the minutes of that meeting several times am I missing something?  I don’t see anything about it in the minutes.  How did you see it John?  If it was talked about then why didn’t someone with experience speak up and explain that it didn’t work then and most likely wouldn’t work now.  What am I missing?
